Grosmont may hold 400 billion barrels of oil
Oilsands production has begun in the previously untapped Grosmont carbonate formation west of Fort McMurray, a resource estimated to contain more than 400 billion barrels of heavy oil.

The recession that clouded the future of oilsands development two years ago has lifted and clear skies beckon trillions of dollars of investment, according to a report.
“The projects . . . that were delayed are now back being developed again, there are more projects, some projects have moved forward in time,” CERI president and chief executive Peter Howard said in an interview.
